1. About these terms
These terms apply to all work carried out by London Plumbing Specialists ("LPS"). By booking a visit you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Quotes and pricing
Hourly rates are charged as shown on our rates page. The first hour includes travel and diagnosis. Written quotes are valid for 30 days. We will always ask for your agreement before carrying out work beyond what was quoted.
3. Parts
Parts and materials are charged in addition to labour unless included in a fixed price. Parts remain our property until paid for in full.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. Larger installations may require a deposit, which will be stated on your quote.
5. Cancellations
Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel. If you book work at your home following a quote, you may have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations; if you ask us to start within that period, you may be charged for work done.
6. Access and safety
Please provide safe, clear access to the work area. Our engineers may refuse to work in unsafe conditions. If we find a gas appliance that is unsafe, we are required to make it safe, which may mean disconnecting it.
7. Guarantee
We guarantee our workmanship. Parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The guarantee does not cover misuse, third-party interference or pre-existing faults in systems we did not install.
8. Liability
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, such as corroded pipework or hidden damage, that are revealed during our work, though we will always tell you about them.
