Over time, the water in a heating system reacts with steel radiators to form a black magnetite sludge. It settles in radiators and pipes, causing cold spots, noisy boilers, blocked heat exchangers and premature pump failure.
A power flush uses a high-flow pump and cleaning chemicals to drive the sludge out, radiator by radiator. We finish by adding fresh inhibitor and can fit a magnetic filter to keep the system clean. Most homes take one working day.
